INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE SCIENTIFIC HIGH SCHOOL ” LORENZO MASCHERONI”
Our most important aim is to help our students to be aware that differences and similarities in traditions and life style can widen our perspective. To this purpose teachers and classes will encourage students to develop understanding and acceptance of diversities. The international exchange experience focuses on socializing and welcoming different habits and attitudes and making any possible effort to share and appreciate what young people from european countries have in common.
Our further goal is boosting the communication skills. The international exchange will improve the students’ capability to communicate ideas, emotions and knowledge in English. English will be the language spoken for all day long in every activity: workshops at school, at home with the host families and in free time.
The international and national exchange is offered to students of the third or forth classes (16-17-18 years old); the students will be able to join the experience after checking the availability of the families to host foreign students and of the teachers to organize and monitor the activity at every stage. The whole third classes will confirm their availability at the beginning of the school year, the whole forth classes at the end of the third year.
Both students and teachers will be guests at their friends’ and colleagues’ in the different European twin towns in the following school year.
During the week in Bergamo the guest students will live with our families and will be able to share moments of peaceful daily routine together with formal occasions aimed to strengthen the pedagogical and cultural aspect of the meeting, such as visit cities with a great cultural heritage, researches, exhibitions of materials, socialization activities, etc.
